Things might look bleak, but not at G.1440!
My father — God rest his soul — would say that I am tempting fate.
Having been a part of this IT consulting industry in Washington and Baltimore for the last 35 years, I have seen an economic downturn a time or two. They pass – sometimes like a ship in the night, sometimes like a kidney stone — but they do pass.
I must say, however, that things continue very well here at G.1440! Our consulting group is closing new application development engagements and new web design engagements, and our staffing department continues to place good IT people in permanent and contract positions.
Good ideas will always prosper in economic downturns! We have many customers with new and exiting ideas that they are implementing through the web. If you have a new idea to bring to the web, come and brainstorm with us! If you are worried about your career, come and talk to us about new opportunities!
Things continue to be bright and looking up at G.1440!

Bud’s right, guys. We’re actually doing pretty darn well during this spooky economic time. I just left a Greater Baltimore Committee event at the Renaissance Hotel where 2 economy-gurus basically told the audience of about 200 that the next 6 to 9 months won’t be pretty. We just have to stay focused and be even more valuable than ever to our clients.
The show must go on, and we intend to earn our keep with our customers now and in the future.
Plus, we’re doing great things for IT people whose careers have recently been whacked! We continue to place qualified IT people at a good clip via our Staffing Division and our Consulting Solutions Division is delivering custom apps and web design for our customers on an ongoing basis.
We are blessed with work today and for the rest of 2008! Now I gotta go get busy for 2009, so I’m outa here!
